“About Time” process, part 2
Lace: I followed Susan Rostow's demo (many helpful videos on youtube: akuaprintshop4511 ) I covered a plexiglass plate with black Akua intaglio ink, placed cloth doilies and other lace on top, and printed them on damp/wet paper with tight pressure, which embossed the paper. I hand-rolled more black on top to highlight it. I removed the lace pieces and printed a second print using the pattern that was left on the plate. I cut these out and glued them to the larger print. The swirly lines in the background were made using Akua liquid pigment in a fine nibbed applicator bottle onto acetate, then printed. #artp

I combined some prints and papers I had in my archives, printed a few more, and added some collage. I collaged all this onto a piece of Arnhem 1618 that I had scored for the folds. Oops!: didn’t account for the glued layers now being very thick, so when I made the final accordion folds into the fan shape, the cent
