Giclée reproduction of the original work.
I saw a most beautiful cactus flower, “Flying Saucer,” on the way to the beach and was inspired to make this mixed media piece. The flowers only last for one day. I assume it got its name because it’s out of this world beautiful. An amazingly large bloom on such a prickly cactus! Also has some Santa Cruz county moths (Arachnis Picta and a Ceonothus Silk moth). Hummingbirds are attracted to this flower, just like I was!
Original work was image transfers and collage. 12" x 12"
Mounted on black gatorboard, which is stronger than foamcore, but still a bit delicate on the corners. Lightweight, and can be hung without a frame. The print has blocks on the back that make it stand out from the wall approximately 1" .
This item will be carefully packaged and shipped flat.
